Grow 'Ems Credit Card

I'll probably be reviewing more things that grow in water as there sure are a lot of them in the Dollar Stores. I've never really understood the charm. All you ever end up with is a wet and slimey, slightly larger version of what you started out with.

But, the package states that this will grow "600% Its Size!!" Let's give it a try...

Measured out of the package (and dry), the card is just a tad over 2 inches wide. 600% its size sounds like 12 inches to me. WOW, that's going to be BIG!. So, I followed the directions and submerged the toy in a medium size container, full of room temperature water. I then watched my toy grow within the next few days.

As you can see, the card started twisting during the first 24 hours. Perhaps defective. 3 days later I removed the twisted wet slimey thing and measured again. NOT QUITE 12 INCHES.

4 INCHES! I guess for a buck, I should be satisfied that it grew at all. And as you can see in the video below, it was NOT very easy to measure in its twisted wet and slimey state.
